Cisco CCNA, ICND1, ICND2, and CCENT Training from Global Knowledge: Blended Learning and Pre - and Post-Course Support Help Students Attain Networking Skills and CCNA and CCENT Certification
Global Knowledge, the worldwide leader in Authorized Cisco Training, announced today major revisions to its curriculum and blended learning solutions that will meet the market demand by helping students navigate the latest network complexities and the challenging Cisco CCNA curricula, which was updated earlier this year. The company's newly designed training solutions feature pre - and post-class activities, including access to remote labs and copies of Self-paced e-Learning CDs for three of its most popular CCNA related courses: CCNA Boot Camp, ICND1, and ICND2. As well, the training leader, and winner of the 2006 Cisco Global Learning Solutions Partner of the Year award, has recently launched an industry-exclusive CD-delivered e-Camp, an efficient approach for students seeking Cisco's latest certification, Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT).

"Our goal is simple," said Eric Strause, Product Director, Cisco Product Management. "We want to remain the clear industry leader in providing CCNA training options that meet the needs of our students and their current or future employers. With the ever-widening gap in networking skills and number of people required to perform them, we want to provide educational experiences and training options that incorporate best practices, which include extended access to course content and labs that reinforce what is learned in the classroom."
The Global Knowledge CCNA Boot Camp is a challenging five-day course, featuring more depth of material with time dedicated to lecture and real-world labs on live, up-to-date hardware versus simulations.
"The post-class e-Labs were very helpful to consolidate the lessons I learned from the Boot Camp," said Mike Yang, a network specialist. "The best news is that I recently passed the CCNA exam," he added.
"We have delivered CCNA Boot Camp training longer than any other Cisco training partner," said Strause. "With the more challenging course material, it's more important than ever to improve the learning experience by including our web site-hosted pre-assessment tool, enhanced labs, and 10 hours of post-course access to practice on the same equipment used in those labs."
In addition to the blended learning approach, Global Knowledge also offers one of the most robust guarantees in the industry for students seeking CCNA certification. Any student who fails the initial exam will be given a second exam voucher. If the second attempt also fails, the student may elect to re-take the CCNA Boot Camp course, free of charge, on a space-available basis.
"All around, the CCNA Boot Camp was the probably the best training I've ever attended," said Justin Benson, a government network analyst. "Everything about the course was above par--from the facilities to the detailed instruction, and without doubt, to the level of professionalism and experience that the instructor displayed."
Individually, the Global Knowledge ICND1 and ICND2 courses have greater breadth, less redundancy, and include security, troubleshooting, and basic wireless networking. Fifty percent of the new course curriculum is dedicated to hands-on labs, which help students quickly apply their new skills.
Based on the Authorized Cisco ICND1 course, and enhanced to ensure the best possible coverage of key technology topics, the Global Knowledge CCENT e-Camp provides solid, practical knowledge of modern TCP/IP networks built with Cisco hardware, allowing students to gain the real-world functional skills required for entry-level network support positions. The CCENT product includes the CD Self-Paced learning materials, 25 e-Lab credits for practicing the labs, and an exam voucher.
"Our CCENT and CCNA e-Camps bundle course content, remote lab access, and certification exam vouchers, and are offered as an alternative delivery method for students who either cannot attend classroom training, or who wish to learn at their own pace," said Strause.
Global Knowledge also provides On-Site delivery of its ICND1, ICND2, and CCNA Boot Camp courses for companies seeking a private setting. "We provide everything you need for seamless On-Site training including software, hardware, equipment, course content and materials, and, of course, our expert instructors. With On-Site training, instructors can drill down into your company projects and specific training requirements without compromising confidentiality, security, or privacy," said Michael Fox, Global Knowledge senior vice president. "In addition, ICND1 and ICND2 are offered via Virtual Classroom e-Learning, which features live, instructor-led training delivered via the Internet."
