Bullhorn CEO Named Finalist in Mass Technology Leadership Awards

2006 Mass Technology Leadership Council Awards recognize outstanding technology development, implementation and leadership.

Boston (PRWEB) July 31, 2006

Bullhorn, the global leader in On Demand, front office staffing and recruiting software, today announced that its CEO and co-founder, Art Papas, has been named as a CEO of the Year category-finalist for the Mass Technology Leadership Council’s 2006 Mass Technology Leadership Awards. Bullhorn is one of the leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers in Massachusetts, with over 6,000 users making more than 5 million page requests every day of its Bullhorn staffing and recruiting front office software. Papas and other finalists were named at an event held July 19 at the British Consulate.

The only awards program to recognize outstanding achievement in both the development and implementation of information technology, the Mass Technology Leadership Awards honor Massachusetts companies and individuals who best exemplify leadership and excellence in business and technology. The awards program builds on the traditions of the Massachusetts Software Council and the New England Business and Technology Association (NEBATA), the two organizations that merged last year to form the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.

Bullhorn is the staffing and recruiting industry’s only On Demand, integrated front office solution. With more than 400 customers and 6,000 users, Bullhorn has exceeded growth expectations for 16 straight quarters and increased the number of its employees by 108% over the past year. Bullhorn was named the 10th fastest-growing private company in Massachusetts (Boston Business Journal, March 2006) and one of the state’s Best Places to Work (Boston Business Journal, April 2006).

As co-founder and CEO, Art Papas is responsible for leading Bullhorn’s operation and strategic initiatives. He is also Bullhorn’s technical leader and the principal architect of the Bullhorn Development Platform (BDP).

“The Mass Technology Leadership Council is committed to fostering entrepreneurship and promoting the success of companies that develop and deploy technology across industry sectors. These awards are an important part of this effort,” said Joyce Plotkin, president of the Mass Technology Leadership Council. “The finalists for this year’s honors represent the spirit of innovation, the history of accomplishment and the future promise that define the Massachusetts technology community.”

Winners of the awards will be announced at an Awards Banquet to be held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel on Wednesday, October 11. The Banquet will also feature a keynote address by Bruce Chizen, CEO of Adobe.
