Leon Urban Joins Force's Sales Team as Director of Sales for U. S. and Canadian Sales

Force Optical Broadcast Systems has announced that Leon Urban has joined the team as Director of U. S. and Canadian Sales. Leon brings over 30 years of experience to the Force sales team.

LeonÂ’s career began in radio and TV broadcasting which led to jobs in Broadcast equipment sales, including sales of transportable satellite uplink and fixed earth stations for DalSat in Plano, Texas. After that he joined MidWest Communications in Atlanta, where Leon sold and built the first satellite teleport to Crawford Communications as well as providing local broadcasters with RF equipment. Leon joined Scientific-Atlanta in Norcross, Georgia in 1985 as a Southeast Account Manager covering Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee where he gained a wealth of experience in the Broadband Cable TV market, selling Fiber Optic, RF Transmission and Conditional Access equipment to major Cable TV MSOs. His ongoing success led him to ADC Telecommunications in 1995 as a Senior Account Manager handling accounts with Cable TV operators and Independent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs) in the Southeast. He also served ADC as National Account Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Strategic Business Manager on the AT&T account. After leaving ADC, Leon lent his expertise to several small, start-up companies as Director and VP of Sales and Marketing, selling to the competitive access markets including the Broadband/HFC market in the U.
