PTGTV Offers Special Outdoor Adventure Series
Competitive Edge will highlight many sporting goods equipment products and bring their qualities to light in a special series on outdoor adventures

PTGTV is pleased to announce a special Outdoor Adventure Series for its innovative, educational television series, Competitive Edge.
An adventure can involve anything different from one’s ordinary routine—but add words to it, and it may mean much more: adventure travel, or outdoor adventure, for example. It can entail going on safari, hang gliding, sky diving, bungee jumping, mountain scaling, shooting the rapids, hot air ballooning, deep sea diving, jet skiing, rock climbing, snowboarding or sailing, or even participating in triathalons, to name a few. They can make the blood boil or the hairs stand on end in a chill.
And while all these adventures differ tremendously in scope, location, and type of activity, there are certain aspects they have in common. One is the type of person who generally pursues an adventure: daring, fearless, usually well educated, disciplined, in good physical condition. Their human spirits need to push their own limits and break through boundaries to soar and triumph. Although at one time participating in these types of adventures was primarily for males, in today’s world women are just as active and adventurous in many cases.
The other uniting factor is the equipment necessary to use—certainly choosing the proper and suitable gear is the basis for participation in any adventure. Talent and ability are part of these activities, but having the correct equipment is vital, and can make the difference not only between winning and losing in a competitive sport, but between safety and survival in many others. One wouldn’t dangle from a rope or trust a parachute without knowing that it was the best quality for that particular adventure, that it had been tested and qualified and approved. Being daring does not mean being foolhardy.
From sports drinks to sophisticated backpacks, a multitude of products can improve one’s performance and experience in adventurous activities. Competitive Edge will highlight many of these and bring their qualities to light in a special series on outdoor adventures. The show will air on local and national cable stations throughout the country.
