HCPro today announced its fourth acquisition of 2005, and its eighth in last 12 months, with the purchase of COR Health, a Santa Barbara, CA-based healthcare newsletter publisher.

HCPro has acquired from COR five monthly newsletters and four companion email newsletters.

In addition to providing further penetration and additional products in HCPro's existing markets, such as nursing leadership, the COR acquisition propels HCPro into two new markets: the healthcare executive-level suite, also known as the C-Suite, and healthcare marketing executives.

"We are very excited about expanding into COR's markets, and we are honored to carry on the editorial excellence of the publications," said HCPro President/CEO Bruce Guzowski. "This acquisition furthers our goal to reach every key decision maker in acute care hospitals, from the department managers to the CEO."

The subscription newsletters are: Healthcare Leadership Review, COR Healthcare Market Strategist, Internet Healthcare Strategies, Medicine on the Net, and Patient Care Staffing Report. HCPro plans to create ancillary products

For its new customers, such as books, audioconferences, Web conferences, and seminars, according to Suzanne Perney, Senior VP and Publisher. HCPro also plan to continue to look for other acquisition and partnering opportunities in these markets.

"I'm pleased that HCPro, through its acquisition of COR Health publications, is making a strong commitment to serve the critical needs of the healthcare market, particularly top decision-makers," said COR's President and Publisher, Dean H. Anderson. "Healthcare executives face a challenging set of problems.

HCPro's depth of expertise and organizational resources makes it uniquely suited to helping hospitals and other healthcare providers face the challenges ahead."

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
