B. Eliot Cole Resigns from Aventine HealthSciences and American Society of Pain Educators to pursue publishing and teaching opportunities.

Montclair, NJ (PRWEB) April 16, 2010

Aventine HealthSciences, a division of Aventine Co., providers of unique services in pain management education and producers of PAINWeek (http://www. painweek. org) (www. painweek. org]) — the national conference on pain for frontline clinicians—has announced that B. Eliot Cole, MD, MPA, CPE, an Aventine executive since 2004, has resigned effective immediately.

Aventine HealthSciences also currently serves as the management company of the American Society of Pain Educators (ASPE), and Dr. Cole has simultaneously resigned from his position of Executive Director of the ASPE.

Dr. Cole will return to the western U. S. to pursue his two greatest passions—writing and teaching—fulltime.

“Working with ASPE to create a national pain organization whose singular focus is education has been enormously rewarding. Because of our efforts there is now a Certified Pain Educator credential available to healthcare providers who see the future of clinical pain management. I will always be proud of my association with Aventine HealthSciences, who conceptualized and supported the vision and manifestation of the ASPE and Certified Pain Educator,” said Dr. Cole

Prior, Dr. Cole had been Director of Medical Education at the American Academy of Pain Management, an organization that he helped to found and grow for over 18 years.

“Dr. Cole’s commitment and focus have been instrumental to the growth of the ASPE and he has single-handedly raised the bar for pain management education. We wish him well in his new endeavor," said Debra Weiner, Managing Partner of Aventine Co. and member of the Board of Directors for the ASPE.
The Board plans to explore a full range of options as it considers an appropriate successor.

Aventine HealthSciences and its entire staff wishes Dr. Cole well in his future endeavors, and anticipates continued collaboration on future projects, including PAINWeek.

Real Estate Investor Summit to Accelerate Rebuilding Effort in the Gulf Coast

A co-production of the New Orleans Real Estate Investors Association and MyPropertyLeads. com. The summit will feature leading experts in the monumental rebuilding effort of the Katrina Gulf Coast disaster zone. Anyone serving the real estate investment community and active or novice investors are welcome to attend October 19 through 22. Live in New Orleans, LA.

New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) September 1, 2006

The New Orleans Real Estate Investors Association (www. neworleansreia. com) board members voted unanimously to host and co-sponsor the “Gulf Coast Real Estate Investors’ Summit” in October along with MyPropertyLeads. com. “We realize that it’s vital for private investors to come to the region to bring resources to the area” says Wayne Songy, President of the local NORIEA chapter. “I have sent an appeal letter to the 230 investment club presidents across the country asking for their support” he says, “Our region needs a boost of confidence and investors who know how to make things happen.”

The Investors’ Summit was approved for posting by the New Orleans Visitors Convention Bureau last week and will be in the monthly publication notifying visitors to New Orleans. The Summit is scheduled for this upcoming October 19 through October 22 and will be held at the Sheraton New Orleans (500 Canal Street).

“This will be an intense four-day information-filled conference” says Mr. Songy “We want investors across the country and all interested parties to know that the Gulf Coast has plenty of opportunities to contribute to the rebuilding effort while helping the investors’ bottom line as well. Many independent experts have been scheduled to speak at the Summit to lay out what happened, where the best opportunities are and what is being done to get our cities back on track.”

“I believe this Summit will be a catalyst for the acceleration process -- the word is getting out and the people that are serious about contributing to the pace of the rebuilding effort are coming together to share resources, ideas, and develop relationships that can only help our city.”

A comprehensive speaker panel is currently being developed. Experts will offer break-out sessions on mold remediation, Section 8 Housing, rebuilding guidelines, GoZone Legislation, technology utilization, demographic analysis, economic development programs sponsored by the state and federal government, finance, rehabbing, infrastructure plans, and more. Gingrich Endorses Rangel’s Challenger for Harlem’s 15th District House Seat

Gingrich Endorses Rangel’s Challenger for Harlem’s 15th District House Seat

Newt Gingrich Endorses New York Congressional Candidate Rev. Michel Faulkner

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 3, 2010

Republican congressional candidate and pastor Michel Faulkner received the endorsement of former Speaker of the U. S. House of Representatives and General Chairman of American Solutions, Newt Gingrich.

Gingrich, a strong supporter of Faulkner’s Jobenomics initiative, is backing Faulkner over the long-entrenched incumbent, Charles Rangel. “The economy is under attack from the Obama Administration,” stated Gingrich, “we need people like Rev. Faulkner in Congress to fight for small business owners who are the job creators of America.” According to Rev. Faulkner, he and Gingrich “share a passion for small business development and job creation. We both believe that protecting the American Dream and passing it on to our children is the ultimate key to serving the American people.”

Unemployment is especially high in New York’s 15th District. Rev. Faulkner has worked with nationally recognized economist Chuck Vollmer to develop Jobenomics, a plan to bring 42,000 new jobs to Harlem by 2020. On a national level, Jobenomics will bring 20 million new jobs to America by 2020.

Faulkner has spent the last twenty years serving as pastor and community leader in Manhattan. As a proponent of free-enterprise, he has committed his life to helping the disadvantaged and those struggling financially by working to create job opportunities for a better life. Faulkner is running on the Jobs Now Party line as well as the Republican and Conservative party lines, which will bring light to what he believes is the preeminent issue facing Americans. “We need to bring jobs to Harlem, Washington Heights, and the rest of upper Manhattan, right now. We can’t wait any longer for Government solutions that will cost more than we can afford and be ineffective. The time is now.”

Faulkner is also a strong supporter of school choice and education improvement. In addition, he will work to either repeal the failed Health Care Reform bill that the current Congress passed or change it dramatically to cut the high cost it puts on the backs of small business owners and taxpayers.

Michel Faulkneris a husband and father of three and currently serves as Pastor of the New Horizon Church in Harlem, New York. This is his first run for political office.

Polaris Marketing Research Supports International Literacy Day

Polaris Marketing Research Supports International Literacy Day

Atlanta Marketing Research Company helps nonprofit improve fund-raising efforts.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 20, 2009

Marketing research company, Polaris Marketing Research, Inc., (polarismr. com) announced today their involvement in helping Literacy Action, Inc. celebrate International Literacy Day on September 8, 2009.

Polaris Marketing Research staff David Jean-Baptiste and Helen Pham designed an HTML-template that was sent to the email lists of the organization and its trustees, raising much-needed donations. In addition, the organization made its own donation to support Literacy Action's efforts.

Literacy Action's Executive Director Emily Ellison said, "Nonprofit organizations such as Literacy Action have been dramatically impacted by the downturn in the nation's economy. Fortunately, we have loyal supporters like Polaris Marketing Research, who help to fill infrastructure gaps that are often part of the day-to-day realities of nonprofit life. For example, this year on International Literacy Day (September 8), Debra Semans and her colleagues at Polaris helped to create an email blast about Literacy Day that could be used by our trustees in reaching out to their contacts. As a result of that blast, we netted approximately $2,000 in online contributions in a matter of a few hours. We had neither the technical expertise nor the time to do this as a staff, and the email blast would not have been possible without the help of Polaris. In addition, the folks at Polaris understand how significantly functional illiteracy impacts individuals, families, companies, and entire communities, and their support of our mission and the resources they provide to us are enormous. For this ongoing support, I am profoundly grateful."

Literacy Action provides free instruction in math, reading, and writing skills enabling students to progress in their journey toward self-sufficiency. Literacy Action is supported by such companies as Georgia Pacific, Turner Broadcasting and Cox Enterprises. Annually, 80 percent of Literacy Action's students increase two grade levels, increasing their productivity and independence. Some important facts about adult literacy:
A rise of 1 percent in literacy scores leads to a 2.5 percent rise in GDP per person (The Economist, August 28, 2004).  America could save more than $17 billion in Medicaid and other expenditures for health care for the uninsured by graduating all students from high school. (Alliance for Excellent Education, 2006).  There are approximately 40 million functionally illiterate adults in the United State.

"Many people don't understand the severity of the adult illiteracy problem in our society and its economic impact. We were delighted to join with such a strong organization in this important work. The Polaris team did a great job for Literacy Action and I am very proud of them", said company founder and President, Jan Carlson. Polaris Senior Vice President Debra Semans serves on Literacy Action's Board of Trustees and is Co-Chair of the Marketing and Advocacy Committee.

Graduates Turn Their Back On Traditional Jobs-And Find Success

Graduates Turn Their Back On Traditional Jobs-And Find Success

With rising tuition costs and falling job prospects, where do successful students turn?

Collierville, TN (PRWEB) March 23, 2010

These are a few simple-and unfortunate-facts:

Jobs are more difficult for new graduates to find than they have been for more than 25 years.  Tuition costs are higher than ever before, leaving students with the largest education related debt burden in history.  Pay, for the lucky few who find a job, is down significantly from what previous graduating classes earned. So, should students give up? According to Scott Weddle, the founder of EZonlineFiling. com (http://www. EZonlineFiling. com), the answer is a very emphatic “No, absolutely not.” In fact, he sees a rebirth of opportunity for this generation in America. His company is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start new businesses and they see a positive trend developing in this latest downturn. “We talk to people everyday who are turning to entrepreneurship as corporate America closes its collective wallet. Specifically, our company has noticed a significant increase in students and recent graduates starting businesses, and I personally believe this is a huge positive. Rather than going to work for a corporation and taking a job off the market, this group is actually creating new jobs and building financial independence.”

Mr. Weddle believes a return to focusing on small and mid-sized business opportunities is key to our recovery. His company even offers a discount to students who want to form an LLC or Corporation, usually by offering the discount to the University they attend. “We have a growing list of colleges and Greek organizations who offer our discount to students through their websites or campus newspapers. Any college who would like to provide this benefit to their students can simply contact us and we will provide them with an online discount code that provides a savings of over 50% on a basic business filing. Recently, we have begun to make this available to specific fraternal groups, as well.” Mr. Weddle can be reached through email at scott@ezonlinefiling. com for related inquiries.
