Free or Low Cost Massage and Relaxation Classes Available in the Twin Cities

Therapeutic Integration, located in St. Paul, Minnesota, will be offering free and low cost educational opportunities this spring. The classes include Intro to Reflexology: Therapeutic Foot Massage (offered April 15) and Relaxation for Teens (offered March 16) at the Griggs Recreation Center.

Therapeutic Integration, located in St. Paul, Minnesota, will be offering free and low cost educational opportunities this spring. The classes include Intro to Reflexology: Therapeutic Foot Massage (offered April 15) and Relaxation for Teens (offered March 16) at the Griggs Recreation Center.

Emmy Vadnais, owner of Therapeutic Integration and teacher of the classes is a licensed occupational therapist, nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork.

American board certified reflexologist. She describes the goals of the class, “These days we seem to be so busy and it’s taking a toll on our bodies – even with teens, These classes are designed to help us learn to relax and help our loved ones to relax.”

Intro to Reflexology: Therapeutic Foot Massage

Reflexology is an ancient practice that feels wonderful, is very relaxing, and has been gaining respect for its many health benefits. Applying pressure to areas on the feet improves circulation, creates the relaxation response, and boosts the immune system. Learn several natural healing techniques that can assist with illness recovery, maintaining wellness, or coping with an illness. Please bring a towel as lotion may be used.

Relaxation for Teens

This class is for teenagers who would like to be able to cope and feel better by relaxing their bodies and minds. We will explore how stress can affect us mentally and physically. Participants will practice various relaxation methods including meditation, progressive relaxation, diaphragmatic breathing, and guided imagery. Use these natural stress-relieving techniques for the rest of your life. Please bring a notebook to journal your experiences.
