EXTOL to Present Web Services and Enterprise Integration at COMMON 2007 Conference

SOA, Web Services and B2B Integration Technology Sessions requested by Conference Education Committee.

Pottsville, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) February 9, 2007

EXTOL International ( http://www. extol. com (http://www. extol. com)) has been selected by the COMMON Conference education committee to deliver educational sessions on business integration at the COMMON 2007 Annual Conference and Exposition in Anaheim, CA, April 29 - May 3, 2007. COMMON is the networking community, industry advocate and leading education provider for System i (AS/400, iSeries and System i5) users in North America. EXTOL is a leading provider of B2B integration software applications for both internal and external collaboration.

The two sessions to be delivered by EXTOL are entitled, "Enterprise Integration Patterns" and "Web Services." They will be presented by Mark Denchy, EXTOL Product Manager, who has more than 20 years experience in software application development and platform integration. "These business collaboration technologies have become "must-have" core capabilities for nearly every company," explains Mr. Denchy. "The complex way businesses must interact for supply and demand chain efficiencies necessitate their use. These sessions will give COMMON attendees a good understanding of the related issues, and the alternatives available to them."

"Enterprise Integration Patterns" will provide an overview of the complex practice of enterprise integration, which requires a multi-faceted understanding of process automation, data transformation, communications and other technologies. Attendees will learn the benefits of using integration patterns - reusable, best practice solutions - to solve different classes of integration issues.

"Web Services" will reveal how companies can achieve near-real-time B2B collaboration and internal application integration with Web Services. The session will cover Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), how Web Services complements integration platform services, and how it can be used with other integration services to integrate trading partners.

At the conference, subject matter experts from around the world and from IBM will deliver education on leading-edge System i technologies such as SQL, RPG IV, DB2 for i5/OS, Java, Lotus Domino/Workplace and many other technical topics. COMMON conferences have been recognized by the IT industry as one of the highest-quality education conferences for IBM mid-range users and developers. In addition to conducting the educational sessions, EXTOL will also participate in the conference as an Elite Exhibitor at booth #611.
