Many people aspire to be a freelance writer, to pen inspiring poetry, or to write and publish a book. However, they do not know how or where to start. Paula Hines Lonergan, writer and author of three books, shows how to be a successful writer and publisher in the seminar “The ABCs of Writing and Publishing.” The seminar will be at the Santa Catalina Branch Library at 999 E. Washington Avenue in Pasadena, California, on January 22, 2005, at 3:00 p. m.

In this seminar, participants discover ways to motivate themselves to follow through on their writing projects. Barbara Martin, Branch Manager of the Santa Catalina Library in Pasadena, said about the seminar, “Your program was great… [Made everyone] feel excited and encouraged about their projects.”

Attendees of the seminar learn the basics of how to pursue a writing career. After attending the class, Lisa Pizana said, “The step-by-step instructions from writing the book to selling the product has been made much more clear to me.” In addition, persons find out how to start and manage their own publishing company and how to market themselves and their book.
