Insider Outsider with Allison Zmuda Launches on BAM Radio's Thought Leaders and Change Agents Channel.

BAM Radio Network, the education station online, today announced the launch of "Insider Outsider with Allison Zmuda." Part of the Thought Leaders and Change Agents channel, the new program takes a creative approach to the issues of education reform. The goal is to stimulate fresh thinking about education reform in pursuit of more innovative and effective solutions.

About Allison Zmuda
Allison Zmuda began her work in education as a public high school social studies teacher in Connecticut. Zmuda's focus is to help every educator create a competent classroom learning environment where all participants believe it is possible for them to be successful. A graduate of Yale, her first book, The Competent Classroom, launched her work as an education consultant. Her second book High Stakes High School: A Guide for the Perplexed Parent, welcomes parents into the conversation about standards, assessment, and high-stakes testing. In addition to her work in the area of curriculum, assessment and instruction, Zmuda also specializes in short - and long-range continuous improvement planning, evaluating the degree to which structures, policies, and job descriptions support the work of a school to achieve its mission. This focus on systems-thinking is evident in Zmuda's third book, Transforming Schools: Creating a Culture of Continuous Improvement, published by ASCD in 2004. Her latest book, due out in December and also published by ASCD, is called Breaking Free from Myths about Teaching and Learning: An Engine of Innovation.
