Lewis has dedicated his life to music and the study of tribal rhythms, releasing more than 16 albums during his career. His education began with intense and in-depth studying with drum masters in different parts of the world from Australia to Africa, studying the roots of African music and tribal ceremonies. He also studied personally with the master professor Mr. Kwasi Badu of Ghana, Africa, an experience that had a profound effect on his music. It was those experiences that made his music what it is today – combining ancestral rhythms from all over the world to create a unique world beat.
Past releases include Journey of Souls, which was nominated for Best World Album by The New Age Reporter, DrumSex, Earth Tribe Rhythms and Like a Drum. His music is widely popular within the yoga, dance and new age communities. With Rhythm & Rhyme, Lewis delivers a balance of music and poetry to create a new genre of story telling in the nick of time! This album has a message from beginning to end that will delight the big kid in everyone. Brent’s motto has always been, “May all the tribes of the world unite and beat with the rhythm of one heart.” The last song is in perfect harmony with the universe as Brent creates the music and his gifted daughter Lily B. sings her soul into the heart of everyone.
