National Collegiate Scouting Association Announces Nationwide Contest for College Athletic Recruiting Education
National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) would like to announce a national contest offering free college athletic recruiting seminars for student athletes and families.

The nation's premier source of college athletic recruiting education is pleased to announce a contest designed to teach coaches, parents, and student-athletes about the realities of the college recruiting process. NCSA will be providing 50 free "College Recruiting Simplified" Events at high schools across the country.
College Recruiting Simplified (CRS) has been requested at more than 2,000 high schools, camps, and combines across the country and outlines the "5 things every recruit needs to know" and the "5 things every recruit must do" in order to get recruited. CRS is presented by a member of NCSA's celebrated Recruiting Expert team consisting of former professional and college athletes, college coaches, award winning authors and journalists, and Olympians.
Over the last nine years, NCSA has recognized a growing number of high school athletes who are pursuing collegiate athletic opportunities without the correct knowledge of how the process works. That realization, combined with the current economical issues facing families nationwide, NCSA felt the timing was perfect to offer this once in a lifetime opportunity to 50 deserving high schools. According to NCSA CEO, Chris Krause, "The price of a college education is constantly increasing, and with that grows the need for athletic scholarships to offset that investment. Unfortunately, according to a recent high school athletic director survey, only 18% of families are properly educated about the process. The reality is that most families are unfamiliar with the recruiting process, and that knowledge is critical to maximizing collegiate scholarship potential."
The CRS Contest is open to anyone who believes in providing recruiting education including, but not limited to, student-athletes, parents, and high school coaches or administrators. Entry only requires a 200 word essay about why your high school needs recruiting education. The contest ends May 1st, 2009.
