LONG ISLAND, New York (PRWEB) April 8, 2004

Charles Massimo, well-known financial educator in the 55+ market sector, has founded CJM Financial. The company serves the conservative senior sector with a goal to protect and grow clientsÂ’ assets while enhancing their quality of life.

“I’m committed to helping each client reach his or her goals,” said Massimo. “In many cases, by age 55 people have saved something for retirement. However, it’s not always the case,” he said. “No matter at what stage people are in their savings goals, it’s important to have a plan.”

With MassimoÂ’s guidance, people close to retiring or who have already retired can make educated choices regarding leaving more to their heirs, and most importantly creating financial freedom for themselves in their golden years, while maintaining an independent standard of living.

Massimo, with more than 15 years experience teaching investors age 55+ how to increase their income and reduce income taxes, has managed more than $200 million in portfolio assets. He is one of a select group of financial professionals who offers Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA), a company which the New York Times recently reported “to often beat [Index funds].” DFA, which currently manages over $60 billion for some of the largest companies and wealthiest families worldwide, is considered to be one of the most prudent ways for investors to grow their money.

Prior to establishing CJM Financial, Massimo most recently worked at Smith Barney as vice president of investments. He began his career in 1984 with Shearson Lehman Brothers as a compliance analyst, later moving to New York Life Insurance Company as a senior representative. Massimo subsequently worked with Merrill Lynch in the Private Client Group as a financial consultant.

Massimo, who has received numerous awards for his work and contributions in the field of financial management, was recently recognized by the Society of Senior Market Professionals for his dedication and excellence in assisting senior investors. In his spare time, he serves as a volunteer for organizations that assist people who have autism.

Massimo earned a bachelorÂ’s degree in business and psychology from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York. He and his wife Stella have 4-year-old triplets, and reside in Bayside, New York, where he was born and raised.
