Nova Scotia Wine Industry Hosts the 3rd Annual Nova Scotia Fall Wine Festival from September 4th, 2008 - October 26th, 2008

Award-winning Nova Scotia wine, gourmet cuisine, and fall foliage are the heart of the Nova Scotia Fall Wine Festival

Halifax, Nova Scotia (PRWEB) August 26, 2008

Award-winning Nova Scotia wine (http://novascotia. com/en/home/whattodo/festivalsandevents/default. aspx), gourmet cuisine, and fall foliage are the heart of the Nova Scotia Fall Wine Festival. And the 3rd annual event, to take place from September 4th, 2008-October 26th, 2008 is slated to be the best yet.

The Winery Association of Nova Scotia kicks off the festival with a launch party at Halifax's hottest new nightclub, Taboo, on September 4th-- to be followed by a delectable series of events. On the Eastern Shore, every Tuesday from September 9th - October 21st, cellar keeper Audrey Firth will be matching a flight of wines to a five-course seasonal menu from Chef Shaun Zwarun at Des Barres Manor Inn in Guysborough, among participating Nova Scotia restaurants (http://novascotia. com/en/home/aboutnovascotia/cuisine/default. aspx).

From September 6th-October 15th, the Ambassatours Wine Enthusiast Tour pairs the Annapolis Valley woodlands with the pleasure of an award-winning wine L'Acadie Blanc and, perhaps, a Fundy Lobster dinner. On October 4th, hands-on Nova Scotia wine enthusiasts may enjoy the annual Grape Stomp at Sainte-Famille Wines.

September 13th on the Northumberland Shore, Sugar Moon Farm in Earltown partners with Jurg Stutz and Chef Jason Lynch from Grand Pre Winery where the Nova Scotia restaurant's maple-inspired cuisine will be accompanied by exquisite wines and live music. Nearby Jost Vineyards in Malagash is a great place to spend the day tasting and touring beforehand.

On the South Shore on October 4th at Fleur de Sel Restaurant in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, award-winning chef Martin Ruiz Salvador will prepare a six-course menu while sommelier Karl Kean will hand pick local Nova Scotia wine pairings for each course.

And this is just a sampling of what's in store for wine lovers--from pastoral Pictou to urban Halifax, Nova Scotia (http://novascotia. com/en/home/aboutnovascotia/urban/default. aspx)--at this year's Nova Scotia wine festival.
