In 2005, The American College celebrated the 10th Anniversary of its CFP® Certification Curriculum. In honor of offering the program to students for the last 10 years, The College held a contest for its students. Every time an individual registered for one of the courses in the CFP® Certification Curriculum, from April 1 to December 31, 2005, his or her name was entered into a drawing for a seven-day cruise for two to the Caribbean.
If a student registered for three courses in the Curriculum during that time frame, their name would have been entered in the drawing three times.
Christine Neri of Hanover, Pennsylvania was recently selected as the Grand Prize Winner of the contest as part of a random drawing. Neri is the Vice President and Regional Manager of Private Client Services at M & T Bank.
She first enrolled in The American College’s CFP® Certification Curriculum in the beginning of January 2004 and finished all 5 modules by December 2005. Neri took her final exam in March of this year and is anxiously awaiting her results. “The American College’s CFP® courses are extremely worthwhile. The materials the College provides are ideal for preparing for the CFP® exam,” said Neri.
Neri’s award package, valued at $3,500, includes airfare from her home airport to the embarkation port of her choice and the cost for the seven-day Caribbean cruise. She will be enjoying her vacation this July with her husband and son. “I was very excited and surprised to be informed that I had won the grand prize. I am pleased to be rewarded with a cruise at this time as I anxiously await the results of the comprehensive exam,” said Neri.
