Bureau Veritas gives MPS registration as a Maritime Security Consultant for the ISPS Code
The following is a press release issued by BUREAU VERITAS earlier this date, wherein Bureau Veritas recognizes Maritime Protective ServiceÂs efforts for the assistance of ship managers with maritime security.

Maritime Protective Services of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA and Poole, Dorset, UK recently completed an initial audit and was found acceptable to meet the requirements of Part B, Section 8.4 of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code and Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974, Chapter XI-2. As such, they have been registered by Bureau Veritas as a Maritime Security Consultant.
Maritime Protective Services pursued registration as a Maritime Security Consultant to obtain an internationally recognized approval attesting to their knowledge of maritime safety, security, and quality standards.
Bureau Veritas, a leading international classification society, performs statutory inspections, assessments, and certifications to the ISPS Code on behalf of 55 flag-state administrations.
The Systems Certification Division, located at Port Everglades, is responsible for managing this function throughout the US, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean.
This latest acknowledgment, by Bureau Veritas, will be added to the growing list of recognitions being received by MPS, from the international maritime community.
