RueÂs RN Program Earns the Full Endorsement of the Licensed Vocational Nurses Association of Texas.
Clearwater, FL. - December 9, 2002 - Rue Educational Publishers, a research and development company widely considered to be the industry leader of independent study for nurses, proudly announced today the full endorsement of their RN program by the Licensed Vocational Nurses Association of Texas.
The following is the official letter of endorsement from the LVNAT:
December 6, 2002
Dear Fellow LPN/LVN Association Presidents,
My name is Thelma Davis and I am the president of the LVN Association of Texas. I am sure that the nurses represented by each of our LPN/LVN associations face similar challenges and obstacles. IÂm also confident we are all interested in options to help our nurses. I often hear from LVNs who are motivated to get their RN but simply do not have the time to go back to school. IÂm excited to share with you a possible solution.
For the past two years the LVN Association of Texas has been happy to offer our members a very successful LVN to RN program that allows them to continue working full time and fulfill their family responsibilities while studying to get their Fully accredited, NLN approved Associates Degree in Nursing.
The name of the company that offers this program is Rue Educational Publishers, Inc.
Rue is a research and development company that specializes in nursing education through independent study.

Rue produces Directed Study Systems which are designed to prepare LPN/LVNs to pass standardized (final) exams offered by various external degree programs around the country. These exams, when successfully completed, transfer into college level credits which can be used to earn a Fully Accredited Associate and/or Bachelor Degree in nursing. RueÂs Directed Study Systems primarily exist for those who, for personal, economic, family, or other reasons cannot afford to, or simply do not have the time to attend a traditional Âcampus based college program.
The LVNAT has found Rue Educational Publishers to be dedicated to the success of our nurses and the Rue RN Program to be well researched, organized, easy to follow, and an excellent educational opportunity for our LVNs.
The LVN Association of Texas endorses the Rue Program and is happy to recommend and introduce them to other LPN/LVN associations.
With best regards,
Thelma Davis
President LVNAT
