National Coalition for the Advancement of Drug-Free Athletics, Inc. (NCADFA) Brings "Choose NOT To Use" Steroid Awarness Campaign To Tulsa, Oklahoma

Basket of Dreams Foundation Plays Host To "Choose NOT To Use" Message Addressing Teens, Sports & Steroids.

Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) May 13, 2006

Dr. Vic Naumov, DC, Founder and President of NCADFA, Inc. brought his Choose NOT to Use message to Tulsa, Oklahoma as the keynote speaker at the recent Basket of Dreams, Inc. parents and athletes event held on Thursday night.

"The goal for tonight's event was simple, said Dr. Vic, to empower teenage athletes through education and awareness. Every athlete at some point in their career ultimately comes to a crossroads and will be faced with a decision. Do I use, to get an artificial edge and cheat; or do I stay clean, and be my best naturally? As far as the NCADFA is concerned, there is only one choice for every athlete, Choose NOT to Use."

Speaking for an hour to a packed ballroom consisting of teenage athletes, their parents and coaches, Dr. Vic stressed the fact that, "Every athlete has the power to Choose NOT to Use and do the right thing. The purpose of this program is to get everyone who is involved in athletics, to get on the same page and work together to become part of the solution, not the problem. It is easier to be proactive, rather than reactive, to a preventable tragedy."

As part of the NCADFA's National Choose NOT to Use Steroid Awareness Campaign, in cooperation with the Basket of Dreams Foundation, each person in attendance received a complimentary NCADFA Choose NOT to Use (black & yellow swirled) silicone wristband designed to remind athletes of their commitment to remain drug-free.

Pittsburgh SEO Consultant Discovers Increased Demand for Web Marketing Despite Recession

Pittsburgh SEO Consultant Discovers Increased Demand for Web Marketing Despite Recession

April Weitzel, a prominent Pittsburgh search engine optimization (SEO) consultant, has discovered SEO services are more sought after by small and mid-sized businesses seeking to remain competitive and prosper during this recession. The increased demand for SEO consulting is due to the high return on investment it provides when compared to traditional forms of marketing and advertising.

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) February 26, 2009

April Weitzel, a leading Pittsburgh SEO consultant has discovered that companies are increasing spending on SEO consulting services to survive and prosper during this economic downturn. To remain competitive, companies are shifting their marketing budgets to invest more on SEO services and less on television, radio and print advertising. According to April, "With TV, radio and print advertising, companies pay money to advertise to people who may not be interested in their services. With SEO, your company is promoted to people who are actively engaged, seeking your product or service, and more ready to buy."

Which is Best a SEO Firm, In House Employee or Consultant?

Most small businesses will find working with a SEO consultant provides the most value for your money. A consultant typically costs less than a SEO firm or fulltime employee because he or she has minimal fixed costs. Conversely, most small businesses will find it cost prohibitive to hire an SEO firm or an in-house search strategist. SEO firms have fixed cost they must build into their pricing: rent, utilities, employee salaries, health insurance, and more. Hiring an SEO expert to work in house usually proves difficult to do because of the high salaries they command and the severe shortage of true SEO talent.

Qualifying Questions to Find an Experienced SEO Consultant

A business should be selective when looking for a qualified SEO consultant. The Pittsburgh internet marketing services and SEO fields are being diluted by web designers and developers claiming to have expertise with search engine optimization and traditional marketers who have been downsized looking for a quick income supplement. When interviewing SEO consultants, it is important to ask how long he or she has been actively performing search engine optimization. Look for a consultant with a minimum of five years ongoing SEO experience. Make sure the consultant provides case studies and proof of search engine ranking results for current clients. Be leery of SEO consultants who claim their client results are confidential. This may signal that he or she has no positive results to share, or worse yet, no results at all. Keeping abreast of the multitude of variables in the search engine ranking formulas requires dedication, years of trial and error experimentation, daily research, and true commitment and passion.

Tampa Author's Novel Echoes Frustration and Joys of the Common Person

Tampa Author's Novel Echoes Frustration and Joys of the Common Person

In his first fictional work, Tampa resident Randall Bowden takes a satirical yet charming look at the fictional beach town of Brookside and its quirky residents. His novel, Chasing Echoes, is currently being published in Maryland by Publish America and is available at Publish America, Barnes and Noble, Borders, and Amazon. com.

TAMPA, FL (PRWEB) September 17, 2004

Davas, the main character, is a bright and talented journalist, although at times he exhibits behavior portrayed as a bit odd. He often finds himself caught between his personal and professional aspirations and the buffoonery treatment he encounters with erratic bosses, capricious acquaintances, bizarre community dignitaries, and peculiar personalities.

Frequently, Davas struggles at the hands of overbearing, pompous, and often rude characters. It takes its toll on his good-natured outlook on life to a point of despair. Yet along his journey, he encounters the wonders of close friends, such as "Em" who is a fragile but misplaced soul with the best of intentions-and the worst of instincts. Davas experiences life events that are ridiculously hilarious and soul searchingly sobering.

This book embraces sparkling wit and biting humor to convey the struggles of Davas through his various employment – and life – adventures, as he exemplifies the "Everyperson" with a heart of gold who just can't seem to catch a break. Each delightful character is shown, flawed, warts and all, and yet the story unveils a tremendous ring of hope, sincerity, and promise as Davas attempts to come to grips with the perilous challenges he faces in this big, bad human race.

Randall Bowden lives in Lutz, Fla., and is the associate dean of the School of Continuing Education at Saint Leo University where he leads the efforts of the universityÂ’s 15 continuing education centers in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, and Texas. Bowden has published several papers on management and business education and is a member of the Association for the Study of Higher Education, the American Association for Higher Education, and Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society in Business Administration.

Bowden also held academic and administrative positions at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as assistant professor of management and at Colorado Christian University where he led the school of professional studies.

Bowden earned a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Denver, a masterÂ’s degree in communication from the University of Colorado, and a bachelorÂ’s degree in biblical studies from Colorado Christian College.
