KUA Manager Receives Rotary Award

Greg Woessner, manager of system operations at Kissimmee Utility Authority, was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation during an Apr. 29 meeting of the Rotary Club of Kissimmee West.

Greg Woessner, manager of system operations at Kissimmee Utility Authority, was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation during an Apr. 29 meeting of the Rotary Club of Kissimmee West.

Woessner, a member of the club for three years, received the recognition from Kissimmee Mayor Dr. George Gant.

The Paul Harris Fellow honor is named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary with three business associates 100 years ago in Chicago, Ill. The award serves as a way for Rotary to show appreciation to those who contribute $1,000, or in whose name that amount is contributed, to the FoundationÂ’s international charitable and educational programs.

The $1,000 contribution to the foundation was made by the Kissimmee West club to honor WoessnerÂ’s volunteer work in the local community.

As a new Paul Harris Fellow recipient, Woessner received a certificate, pin and medallion.
